Earth, Wind and Fire returns to South Bend
SOUTH BEND — Earth, Wind & Fire will return to South Bend this October for their first performance in the city since their 1975 show at the Notre Dame A.C.C.
The band, which has spanned the genres of rock, jazz, R&B, soul, funk and disco, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Morris Performing Arts Center.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, and range from $39.50 to $99.50.
They can be purchased at the Morris Center box office, by phone at (574) 235-9190 and online at morriscenter.org. Tickets will also be sold at Orbit Music on McKinley Highway in Mishawaka, Audio Specialists on State Road 933 North in South Bend, Karma Records in Plymouth and Warsaw, Wooden Nickel Records on North Anthony Street in Fort Wayne and the LaPorte Civic Auditorium box office.
Formed in Chicago in 1969, Earth, Wind & Fire has sold more than 90 million albums worldwide, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and was the first African-American band to sell out Madison Square Garden.
The band’s hit singles include “Shining Star,” “Sing a Song,” “September,” “Boogie Wonderland” and “After the Love Has Gone.”
