Elkhart Wish Central baseball team luck at send-off

The City of Elkhart is organizing a send-off caravan to wish the Elkhart Central baseball team luck as it heads to state finals on Friday.

The City of Elkhart is organizing a send-off caravan for the Elkhart Central baseball team as the team departs for the IHSAA Class 4A state championship game in Indianapolis.

Anyone who wants to join the caravan should meet between 10 and 10:20 a.m. on Friday, June 14, at the baseball field at Elkhart Central High School, 1 Blazer Boulevard.

The team will leave from the baseball field at 10:30 a.m., according to a news release from the office of Mayor Dick Moore.

The escort will follow the team to the U.S. 20 Bypass at Main Street.

A caravan will also meet the team upon its return at Main Street at the U.S. 20 Bypass around 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 16.
