Elkhart Two Rivers Meet runs set for Saturday

ELKHART — Two Rivers Meet runs, including a kids’ fun run, 5K, 10K and 15K races and a walkathon, will start at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Civic Plaza in downtown Elkhart, 300 S. Main St.

More than 200 flags will be on display for the Memorial Day event, with the DAV presenting a taps ceremony before the race and Courtney Jones singing the national anthem.

Race day registration will be from 6:30 to 8 a.m. at the Civic Plaza. Prices vary depending on age, race chosen and whether or not the participant chooses to be timed. All police, firefighters, veterans and active military personnel can enter the race and be timed for free.

Packet pickup will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the YMCA, 200 E. Jackson Blvd., or 6:30 a.m. race day at the Civic Plaza.

The race benefits Lifeline Youth Ministries camping programs.
