INDIANAPOLIS — Two local Catholic schools — St. Thomas the Apostle School and St. Vincent de Paul School, both of Elkhart — are on this year’s list of Four Star Schools.

According to the Indiana Department of Education, to be on the list of Four Star Schools in Indiana, a school must be in the top 25th percentile of schools in Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress Plus (ISTEP+) testing results. This year’s 313 Indiana Four Star Schools made the list based on their ISTEP+ scores from the 2011-12 school year.

Along with St. Thomas and St. Vincent, 12 local public schools are also on this year’s list. An earlier article did not include the local Catholic schools.
