GOSHEN — Tickets for reserved track seats for this year’s fair concerts go on sale Saturday morning, May 18, but this year you don’t have to camp out in front of the fair office to get good seats.
In fact, unless you’re one of the first few people in line, you probably won’t get such good seats this year with the introduction of online ticket sales, said Kristy Ambrosen, marketing manager for the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
“Honestly, you’ll have better luck at your computer. We’ve had people say to us, ‘You mean I can sit at home in my pajamas and buy the tickets? I’m doing that,’” Ambrosen said.
Online sales and a toll-free number to call a ticket center are the big changes this year.
Anybody who wants to camp out in front of the fair office, 17746 C.R. 34, can do so — though it might be too late to get the really good seats. “We have fans already standing in line at the fair office,” Ambrosen said Wednesday, May 15.
Everyone else can get on the fair’s site at www.4hfair.org or call 877-772-5425. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday for each of the shows. Each person can choose only six tickets per show Saturday, but will be able to choose their reserved track seats.
“Purchased online tickets will be available to be printed from your home printer and scanned at the track entrance gate. Box office and callers will be offered best available at the time of sale. All tickets are non-refundable,” Ambrosen said.
“We’ve gone through practice sales to make sure all the kinks are worked out,” Ambrosen said.
As with all shows, grandstand seating will be free for this year’s concert series with paid admission. All concerts have an 8 p.m. start time.

Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Saturday, July 20, $25.
