MIDDLEBURY — This year, the 19th annual Middlebury Old Timers meeting offers a special invitation for people to “show and tell” from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Middlebury Town Hall, 418 N. Main.

Young and old alike are invited to share stories, ask questions, bring items from their youth and tell what life was like in the “good old days” in Middlebury.

The Old Timers meeting began as an opportunity for seniors who lived in Middlebury to gather and reminisce about their youth. The stories are often full of fun and interesting facts about a past full of high jinx that show younger members of the community how much they share in common with their elders.

The Middlebury Community Historical Society sponsors this free event, which is videotaped for posterity, with the tapes available for viewing at the Middlebury Community Library or the Middlebury Community Historical Museum.
