Local teen girl to compete in National American Miss Indiana pageant in July

The state competiton is Indianapolis in July.

ELKHART — Alycia Allen of Elkhart was named a state semi-finalist in the National American Miss Indiana pageant.

The semi-finals round was held in South Bend April 2.

Allen will compete for the Miss Indiana Pre-Teen state title in July in Indianapolis.

She is a sixth grade honor roll student at Mary Feeser Elementary School. She was also accepted into the 2012 People to People Student Ambassador program.

Alycia is the daughter of Brianne Allen and great-granddaughter of Kenneth and Ruth Bailey.
