ELKHART — A group of Elkhart Central special needs students spent the day Thursday, April 25, on a field trip bowling at Signature Lanes followed by manners and etiquette lessons during lunch at Lucchese’s Italian Restaurant.

“This class is so rewarding it’s not even funny,” said Central P.E. teacher Scott Sekal. “I have a great group of kids here.”

Manko has been cited for defying the town's new ban on street vendors, which he said is prompted by town councilors who don't think street vendors fit the town's image. Town officials said the ban was prompted by safety concerns. A court will now decide. (AP Photo/Jennifer McDermott)
