GOSHEN — Shoppers at Martin’s Super Market in Goshen were able to see the result of an Earth Day activity for Goshen elementary school students.

According to Judy Miller, Goshen Community Schools’ energy education specialist, 1,000 elementary students decorated donated paper grocery bags from Martin’s with Earth Day pictures and recycling ideas. The bags were then returned to Martin’s to be used to bag customers’ groceries.

To acknowledge their dedication to recycling, Miller said, decorated bags were also donated to the Habitat for Humanity Restore location in Goshen.
