GOSHEN — Exactly 257 runners and more than 100 walkers participated in the Green Day Frolic 5K run and 2K walk, which was part of Goshen First Fridays, April 5.

The course started on Main Street and wound its way along the beautiful Millrace Trail. Gina Leichty, director of Downtown Goshen Inc., which promotes First Fridays, said that the turnout was “more than we’ve ever had before,” and it couldn’t have been a nicer evening.

Back at the courthouse, where the race began, there was plenty of good food waiting from vendors including Kettle Korn, Ben’s Pretzels, South Side Soda Shop and Naomi’s Candies. There were also plenty of booths to keep the kids happy, and other booths that were related to health and fitness and human services.

It was the first splendid First Fridays of 2013 as the weather was perfect for a Green Day Frolic.

Results from the 5K run have been posted. You can view them here.
