GOSHEN — A new location for Wings Etc. will be up for review at the next Goshen City Council meeting.

The council is expected to decide Tuesday, April 9, whether to annex a property off of U.S. 33 into the city. The property owners have filed a petition for the annexation of roughly 2 acres of land near Meijer in the Dunlap area.

Owner Jim Weaver opened the first Wings Etc. restaurant in 1994 in Mishawaka. The restaurant chain has grown to include more than two dozen locations in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and North Carolina.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the city council chambers, 111 E. Jefferson St. in Goshen.

In this Aug. 13, 2014 photo, an overall view of the Firstkontact Center, a call center in the northern border city of Tijuana, Mexico. Many Mexicans deported under U.S. President Barack Obama are finding employment in call centers in Tijuana and other border cities. In perfect English, some don’t even speak Spanish, they talk to American consumers who buy gadgets and gizmos, have questions about warrantees and complain about overdue deliveries. A large number of workers spent nearly all their lives in the U.S. and still have family there, a major selling point for Mexico over English-language industry leaders like India and the Philippines.
