Council to review compact policy
Elkhart City Council members will meet next week to review the controversial commercial compact fee policy that was enacted last year.
Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in council chambers to discuss aspects of the ordinance that involves commercial compact policy, which has angered some businesses along the perimeter of the city limits.
Business owners claim the fee hike represent a huge burden and have joined several other council members who believe the fee should be changed and based on usage.
The meeting is open to the public.
