Goshen’s Kate Bolduan named co-host of new CNN morning show
Goshen native Kate Bolduan will co-host CNN’s new morning show with Chris Cuomo.
The show will premiere later this spring and will broadcast from the network’s New York City studio, CNN said in news release on Friday, March 29.
Bolduan, an alumna of Goshen High School, has co-anchored “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer since 2012 and contributed to CNN’s 2012 election coverage.
She is also one of the network’s congressional correspondents, covering the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. She joined CNN in 2007 as a correspondent for CNN Newsource.
Bolduan returned to Goshen in 2010 to film a segment for a CNN show about growing up in a small town.
In addition to Cuomo and Bolduan, Michaela Periera will join the show as a news anchor.
“It is a huge opportunity to work on this new show,” Bolduan said in the news release. “Knowing that we have the resources of some of the most experienced executives in the business, the backing of a brand like CNN, and to be able to sit alongside such great people as Chris and Michaela — I can’t think of a better combination.”
