GOSHEN — LaCasa Inc. recently received $79,500 in grants from NeighborWorks America, a national affordable housing and community development organization.

The grants are flexible, meaning they can be applied to the various projects and programs of LaCasa, a member of the NeighborWorks network.

LaCasa president Larry Gautsche said the annual funds from NeighborWorks will likely help with some of the programs that are unfunded, such as planning for housing projects, work with neighborhood associations classes for home-buyer and financial education and foreclosure counseling.

Gautsche said the funds have a significant impact on the work the organization is able to do. “Every organization needs grants like this,” he said.
