ELKHART — Ron Harris, a truck driver from Goshen, won $200,000 after buying a Hoosier Lottery Mix & Match ticket from a 7-Eleven in Elkhart.

Harris stopped by the 7-Eleven is 58458 S.R. 19 on Friday, March 22, to purchase a sandwich and get a free Pepsi, part of a deal offered by the convenience store for the month of March. He also purchased lottery tickets, not expecting to win an even better deal from Hoosier Lottery. He realized he had won when he checked his ticket Saturday morning, March 23.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Harris. “I checked my ticket at least five times.”

The truck driver plans on paying off his bills and donating to a pet refuge in Mishawaka with his winnings.
