ELKHART — Mission Statement: The Premier Arts Ambassadors are an elite group of talented teens in the Elkhart area focused on bettering themselves, the community, and to inspire others to achieve their goals.

Though young in age, the Ambassadors seek to develop their performance skills and demonstrate the power of youth while encouraging all to “play a part”.

Ambassador candidates must be in grades 6th-12th.  Auditions are held in the fall and a new group is selected each year.   The Ambassadors provide entertainment for individual groups or companies when called upon.  They perfect their talent throughout the year as well as doing work in becoming good citizens.

The Ambassadors just completed a public service announcement to remind young people of the perils of smoking, they have toured New York City, done rock climbing, improv, service projects, and retreats.

The Ambassadors represent Premier Arts well, and they play a large part in our organization.

In this Aug. 26, 2014 photo, a sea wall separates Asharoken Village, N.Y. from Long Island Sound. The wall was washed over during Superstorm Sandy in October 2012, causing erosion and and taking down power lines. Asharoken can accept federal aid to build a dune and create public access to its beach for the first time in nearly 90-year history. Or it can reject aid, retain its private beach and allow erosion and other issues to worsen. (AP Photo/Emily Dooley)
