United Way awards $25,000 grant to The Crossing
ELKHART — United Way of Elkhart County awarded a $25,000 grant to The Crossing Educational Center to help service struggling young people in Elkhart County.
The money will be used for the Crossing Xtreme, a vocational job training program focused on helping youth in Elkhart County develop traits and skills needed to get a job after graduating high school.
Crossing Xtreme partners with Habitat for Humanity, giving students the opportunity to learn construction. Students also work with the Crossing’s non-profit tree removal business.
