National Weather Service issues snow, ice advisory for Elkhart County

Elkhart County is under a winter weather advisory for Thursday night and Friday morning.

ELKHART — The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Elkhart County and much of northern Indiana for Thursday evening, Feb. 21, and Friday morning.

A band of snow will move through the area overnight, leaving 1 to 3 inches of accumulation in its wake.

The snow will turn to freezing drizzle Friday morning and could make roadways hazardous.

The advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. Thursday evening through 12 p.m. Friday.
