Bethany Christian students win honors at speech invitational

The tournament featured mroe than 400 entries from 28 schools.

GOSHEN — Three Bethany Christian High School speech team students won honors at the Fort Wayne Carrol Invitational Saturday, Feb. 16. Senior Jesse Bontreger and junior Parth Patel placed sixth in scriped duo interpretation for the Sherlock Holmes mystery “The Man with the Twisted Lip.” Sophomore Lena Yeakey placed sixth in international extemporaneous speaking. The tournament featured more than 400 entries from 28 schools. The team will compete at the Charger Invistational at Elkhart Memorial High School Saturday, Feb. 23.
