STAMFORD, Conn. — Summer Institute for the Gifted University Prep has announced that it will host its three-week intensive college preparatory summer program at the University of Chicago in the summer of 2013.

The program, open to U.S. and international students ages 15 to 18, is from July 28 through Aug. 17, and focuses on assisting academically achieving students to become strong college applicants by preparing them for successful entry into the college of their choice. Participants will learn the ins and outs of college admissions, from test-taking strategies to writing a commanding personal statement, to interviewing skills while working side by side with students from around the world.

Students will study the teachings of Howard Greene & Associates and take a Princeton Review SAT and ACT Classroom course. Students will live in university dormitories with access to campus facilities.

As part of the program, students will tour other college campuses such as Northwestern University, the University of Notre Dame, Loyola University and University of Wisconsin at Madison. The deadline for students to apply for the program is May 1.
