Fireworks over Elkhart for 12/12/12

Fireworks exploded over Elkhart on Wednesday night as part of a private celebration that was postponed from Labor Day.

ELKHART — Wednesday’s unique date, 12/12/12, provided a perfect reason for fireworks over downtown Elkhart.

The fireworks display had been planned for Labor Day weekend by the Martin family, longtime owners of NIBCO Inc., to celebrate the marriage of their daughter, but inclement weather conditions led to a postponement of the show until now.
