ELKHART — If you need some help finding the Christmas spirit, ArtWalk in downtown Elkhart tonight, Dec. 5, might be the answer.

The theme of this event is “The Gift of Art,” and about a dozen artists will be sharing and promoting their work to the public.

The artists will be featured at different stores in the immediate downtown shopping area. The types of art included in Wednesday’s downtown festival will include painting, sculpture, ceramics, multimedia, digital illustrations and drawings.

There will be caroling at the civic plaza from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., Lerner Theatre will feature the musical production, “Miracle on 34th Street.” Ticket prices range from $30 to $45. For ticket info call 293-4469.

The Community Art Project continues, but will be happening at the Elkhart Farmers Market at 224 S. Main St. In the past, it’s been held at the plaza, but is inside because of weather concerns. Activities will include work on a large community Christmas card.

The community art project runs from 5 to 8 p.m.

Many of the downtown retailers are planning promotional discounts during the festival. For a list of specials go to downtownelkhart.org.

ArtWalk is hosted by Downtown Elkhart Inc. For more information, call 295-8701.
