ELKHART — “Dancing with the Stars” will take on a local – and charitable – look Friday. The fourth annual “Still Dancing in Elkhart” event will be from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday in the Lerner Theatre’s Crystal Ballroom.

Proceeds will benefit the Samaritan Health & Living Center in Elkhart. The center is a not-for-profit Elkhart County agency that “offers psychotherapy and faith-integrated counseling,” according to a press release.

Jennifer Barton, administrative assistant for the Samaritan Center, said the event has been sold out since the second week of October.

The local “stars” include Rick Burns, Babette Boling, Jay Riblet, Laura Ezzell, Chris Spataro, Patty Brotherson, Matt Eppers, Katie Nord and Jason Evers. Barton said that some of the dancers are former “stars” who continued taking dance classes after the fundraiser was over.

People can donate money by voting for their favorite dancers at www.stilldancinginelkhart.org. For information on the center go to www.elkhartsamaritan.org.
