Elkhart City Council will make final decisions on its 2013 budget Monday night.
The budget includes $1.9 million in cuts that were proposed by Mayor Dick Moore, but council members could choose to seek further cuts through amendments.
Moore’s cuts would eliminate seven positions, reduce funding to several economic development efforts and establish furloughs for all city workers, including fire and police.
Some Republican council members have expressed hesitation over furloughs for police and fire employees.
The meeting at council chambers begins at 7 p.m.
