Bands in Saturday invitationals

Local marching bands competed at invitationals at Penn and Hamilton Southeastern.

NorthWood High School’s marching band performed at the invitational at Hamilton Southeastern in Fishers on Saturday. According to director Eric Criss, NorthWood earned first place in class AA and also brought home caption awards for best music, best visual, best general effect and best percussion.

Closer to home, several local bands competed at the Penn Carnival of Bands on Saturday. Following are the results and caption awards for Class C and Class B.
