Concord and Fairfield top marching band invitational

The Crimson Marching Band Invitational Saturday evening kicked off the local marching band season.

GOSHEN — Concord and Fairfield took the top honors in their respective classes during the 21st annual Crimson Marching Band Invitational Saturday evening at Goshen High School.

Thirteen area bands, including the seven competitive Elkhart County bands, performed in the invitational, the first competitive event of the season.

As the host, Goshen’s marching band performed, but did not compete for a placing or awards.

Following are results from the classes with Elkhart County bands.
