The Indiana Department of Environmental Management says Saturday will be an air quality action day in Elkhart and St. Joseph counties.

That means weather conditions will be conducive to high levels of ozone pollution.

To reduce emissions contributing to ozone formation, IDEM suggests you:

Ÿ Bike, walk, carpool or take the bus.

Ÿ Perform regular vehicle maintenance.

Ÿ Conserve fuel by combining trips.

Ÿ Refuel your car in the evening.

Ÿ Reduce engine idling time.
