GOSHEN — Two-time Super Bowl performers Styx will play the Elkhart County 4-H Fair this summer.

The group will take the grandstand stage July 21 at 8 p.m., joining country artists Josh Turner and Thompson Square on the announced list for this summer's fair.

That leaves only one night of the fair with an act yet to be announced.

Styx has been around since the 1970s, starting out in the Chicago area before rising to a major arena rock group known for hits like “Come Sail Away,” “Blue Collar Man,” Fooling Yourself” and “Mr. Roboto.”

Some of those songs reached pop-culture mainstream status with car ads and references in television shows like South Park and Freaks & Geeks.

The band consists of Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Schuerman and Ricky Phillips.

Tickets for reserved seats for all of the announced shows will go on sale March 24. Ticket prices haven't been announced, but as always, grandstand seating will be free on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets will be offered at the fair office, 17746 C.R. 34, or by telephone at 574-533-3247.
