GOSHEN - A delegation of government and business representatives from Jinhua, China, is in Elkhart County this week for a series of meetings with officials here.

Elkhart County Commissioner Terry Rodino said Tuesday that the contingent is looking into potential business opportunities related to the recreational vehicle industry, among other things. He was vague on other particulars.

Jinhua and Elkhart County have a "sister city" relationship and Rodino has visited the region of China twice, most recently in March. It's located in Zhejiang, a manufacturing province.

The Jinhua visitors were to unveil a gift of artwork to the county during their stay and meet with local business representatives during a luncheon today. They leave Friday.

Meanwhile, about 25 students from the Jinhua Performing Arts School will come to Elkhart County in July for a cultural exchange. They'll offer traditional song and dance performances, in partnership with Premier Arts, a local theater group.

A rep from Premier Arts, among others, traveled with Rodino during his trip to China in March.
