Easter egg hunts, activities scheduled

* Greenleaf Living Center, 1201 East Beardsley Ave., Elkhart, is hosting a community Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday. * Greenleaf Living Center, 1201 East Beardsley Ave., Elkhart, is hosting a community Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday. Children can meet the Easter bunny, make an Easter craft and enjoy refreshments. Free.

* Guidance Ministries, 216 N. Second St., Elkhart, will have an Easter celebration for children beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. It will include breakfast, a skit and an Easter egg hunt. Register prior to the event. Free.

* Eternal Life Deliverance Ministry is giving out care packages filled with items not typically bought with food stamps on the second Saturday of each month. Deliverance Ministry is located at 57772 C.R. 9.

* The Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt for children ages 1 to 8 starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wakarusa Memorial Park. Children are encouraged to bring their own basket to collect eggs.

* Woodland Manor Nursing Home, 343 S. Nappanee St., Elkhart, is hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the community. Participants will be divided into 2- to 5-year-olds and 6- to 10-year-olds. Old CounBuffet is offering free kid's breakfast passes and buffet passes for children 11 years and younger, $5.99 breakfast passes and $1 off lunch passes for adults.

* Thousands of Easter eggs and prizes await kids all over Michiana as Radiant Life Church, 2936 Lillian Ave., Elkhart, will host its third Eggstravaganza at 10 a.m. Saturday. Children of all ages are invited to this huge event. Get more information by calling 675-0996.

* The annual Nappanee Rotary Club Easter egg hunt will take place inside of the Calendar Sportsplex on C.R. 7 (Oakland Avenue) about one and-a-half miles north of U.S. 6 (entrance of McCormick Creek Golf Course) starting at 9 a.m. Saturday. The hunt will go until all eggs are found. The event will take place rain, snow or sunshine. Children should dress appropriately.
