Harbor Light Hospice offers new and exciting volunteer programs. Make a difference in the life of a terminally ill patient. Provide companionship, watch a movie together, read to them. RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) of Elkhart County, sponsored by Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, is seeking volunteers age 55 and older to fill positions in 15 organizations, including government agencies, non profit organizations, churches and health care organizations. Includes: day care, tour guide, activity coordinator, patient hostess, confidant to another adult, clerical assistance and food pantry assistance. We even have positions that can be done from your own home! RSVP volunteers receive free supplemental insurance while volunteering and there is no minimum or maximum amount of time one can volunteer. The Cass County Council on Aging needs volunteer drivers for its Meals on Wheels and medical transportation services.

Volunteers need to have a valid driver's license, a reliable, insured vehicle and be patient, friendly and have a good riving record. Mileage is reimbursed.
