ELKHART — Kelsey (Lawson) and Matthew Todt were married on May 12, 2012, by Father Bill Sullivan at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Elkhart.
The bride’s parents are Michael and Kerry Lawson of Elkhart. The groom’s parents are Robert and Susan Todt of Elkhart.
Kerry Guernsey, sister of the bride of Elkhart, was matron of honor. Jennifer Howard and Melissa Szymczak, sisters of the bride of Elkhart, were the bridesmaids.
Michael Todt, the groom’s brother of Fort Wayne, was best man. Brian Bulmer, brother-in-law of the groom of Indianapolis, Tre Raderstorf of Bloomington, Michael Brown of Elkhart and Kyle Willis of Elkhart were groomsmen.
Michael Lawson, brother of the bride of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Kameron Lawson, brother of the bride of St. Louis; and Matthew Lawson, brother of the bride of Colorado Springs, Colo., were ushers.
Nicholas Guernsey and Wade Howard, nephews of the bride, were flower boys and Evan Szymczak, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Gabriel Guernsey and Drake Howard, nephews of the bride, were altar servers. Kyah Howard, niece of the bride, was the cantor for the ceremony. Ashley and Michael Guernsey, niece and nephew of the bride, were readers.
The bride carried her grandmother’s handkerchief in her bouquet.
The reception was at the Matterhorn Banquet Hall in Elkhart.
The couple started dating after their friend’s Super Bowl party. Matt proposed on Aug. 26, 2011, during an evening walk in front of the Lerner Theatre, where Kelsey often performs with Premier Arts.
