ELKHART— Kathryn Byrns and Neil Lane were married June 23, 2012, by Father Bill Sullivan at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Elkhart.
The bride’s parents are Charles and Laura Byrns of Elkhart. The groom’s parents are Mark and Raeanna Lane of Elkhart.
Lindsey Dixon of Valparaiso was maid of honor. Eileen Corson of Elkhart, Ketie Freshour of Elkhart, Amanda Schelle of Elkhart, Megan Lane, sister of the groom of Elkhart, Kristin Tippin of Fillmore and Ashley Lewis of Austin, Texas, were bridesmaids. Alivia Manthey, cousin of the bride of Janesville, Wis., was flower girl.
Seth Catalino of Mechanicsville, Va., was best man. Brendan Lane, brother of the groom of Elkhart, Kyle Lane, brother of the groom of Elkhart, Danny Byrns, brother of the bride of Elkhart, Brandon McCreary of Elkhart, Cole Cooper of Elkhart and Vic Quinones of Elkhart were groomsmen. John Reidmaier, cousin of the bride of Woodridge, Ill., was ring bearer.
Friends and family came from 10 different states to celebrate this occasion.
Addison Manthey, cousin of the bride of Janesville, Wis., Miles Manthey, cousin of the bride of Shannon, Ill., and Kelly Klose, cousin of the groom of Elkhart, were ushers.
The reception was held after the ceremony at the Riverside Terrace in Mishawaka. The couple went on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise to the Grand Turk Islands, Half Moon Cay and Nassau.
The couple met in 2006 through friends and stayed in contact through college. They started dating in early 2009 and the groom proposed on New Years Eve, 2010, at midnight.
