ELKHART AMBS graduate to be recognized for missionary work

ELKHART — A 2008 graduate of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary will be honored for his lifetime of ministry work with the annual Alumni Ministry and Service recognition award.

Marty Troyer is a pastor of Houston (Texas) Mennonite Church and is involved in a local faith formation community called Faith Walking. He also works with local organizations to address issues of wage theft, labor rights and the death penalty.

He will be discuss his ministries during a forum at noon Thursday, Oct. 31, at the seminary’s Lambright Center. A light lunch will be served beginning at 11:40 a.m. for $6.

The Lambright Center is located at 3003 Benham Ave., Elkhart.

 The Passover seder plate features several foods that each have their own symbolization. Passover this year is celebrated from April 14 to April 22, 2014.
