ELKHART Local LDS church hosting hog roast, church tours Friday

Members of the Church of Latter Day Saints' three local congregations are inviting the public to a hog roast to learn more about the dinner.

ELKHART — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is inviting the public to learn more about the Mormon faith and take a tour of their church during an open house hog roast on Friday, Oct. 4.

The open house will include a free hog roast dinner and social time with members of the church’s congregations. Information will be given about the church’s programs.

The open house is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is located at 3415 Pleasant Plain Ave., Elkhart.

 The Passover seder plate features several foods that each have their own symbolization. Passover this year is celebrated from April 14 to April 22, 2014.
