Venture capitalist, Bible teacher to speak about poverty at local church

ELKHART — Kim Tan, a venture capitalist, Bible teacher and social entrepreneur, will be presenting a lecture about poverty at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 23786 Sunnyside Ave.

The lecture, “Enterprise Solutions to Alleviate Poverty,” will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Tan is the founder and chairman of a private equity fund management company in the U.K. and a published author. He’s involved in multiple charities across the globe. He is the featured speaker for Pastor’s Week at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.

The event is cosponsored by the Michiana Chapter of Mennonite Economic Development Associates and is free and open to all.
