SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Benjamin Kelly has jumped from independent baseball to Double-A.

The Goshen College graduate, who worked in 2013 as the No. 2 radio play-by-play announcer for the Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League, has been named as the No. 1 broadcaster for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Texas League for 2014.

The Naturals are the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Fans will be able to hear Kelly call all 140 Northwest Arkansas games during the 2014 season. Games will be heard primarily on 92.1 The Ticket (KQSM-FM) or at times on KFAY 1030-AM when there is a conflict with a University of Arkansas game and/or event.
