ELKHART — Clifford and Dolores "June" (Lee) Martin are celebrating their 65th anniversary this month.
They were married on June 12, 1949, in South Bend, at Sunnymede Church of the Brethren, which is the same church where they met.
They have lived in Plymouth, South Bend, Mishawaka and Osceola and in Blountstown, Fla. For the last 23 years they have made Elkhart their home.
There will be a private celebration during the weekend for family. The couple would enjoy a card or a phone call from their friends.
Clifford retired in 1985 after 30 years as a millwright from Wheelbrator/Frye in Mishawaka. He also worked for Studebaker Corp. and at Ball Band Co. (Uniroyal). He is a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.
June worked for The Associates before she was married. For years she was a homemaker, but she later went back to work for Bethel College, retiring in 1979 after five years of working in the kitchen.
They have two children, David (Joyce) and Linda, both of Elkhart.
They have three grandchildren, all of Elkhart. They also have three great-grandchildren.
