GOSHEN — Galen Brad and Joretta (Troyer) Strycker are celebrating their 60th anniversary this month.

They were married July 19, 1953, at Bethany Seminary Chapel, Chicago, in a “double wedding ceremony” officiated by the Rev. Edward Stump (stepgrandfather of Joretta).

They will celebrate with their children and spouses on Friday, July 19. On The family will host an open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Greencroft Manor IV dining room. There will be entertainment at 2:30, 3:15 and 4 p.m. by the couple’s grandson, Caleb Shaw, and Brad and Jo themselves. Everyone is welcome to join them in the celebration of their 60 years.

Mr. Strycker retired from Reese Products as a plant accountant in 1992. Mrs. Strycker retired as first deputy to Elkhart County Treasurer in 1994.

Their children are Bradley (Dee) Strycker of Goshen, Donna (Charlie) Agnew of West Lafayette, Lori (Ron) of Goshen, Benita (Jim) Shaw and Jamie (Kim) Strycker of Wakarusa. They have 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
