Major road, bridge projects planned in Goshen

Between the city of Goshen and the Indiana Department of Transportation, there are more than a dozen road and bridge projects planned through 2018. Here are the highlights:

Goshen Transportation Projects

2014

  • Intersection improvement at U.S. 33 and Kercher Road
  • C.R. 17 extension from C.R. 38 south to C.R. 142
  • C.R. 40 curve realignment
  • C.R. 40 chip and seal project from C.R. 27 to U.S. 33

2015

  • Intersections improvement at S.R. 15 and Kercher Road
  • South link road/Waterford Mills Parkway from S.R. 15 east to Regent Street
  • South link road/Waterford Mills Parkway from S.R. 15 west to C.R. 40 Bridge over the Elkhart River

2016-2018

  • Kercher Road Bridge reconstruction
  • Kercher Road from Elkhart River Bridge west to C.R. 17
  • Kercher Road reconstruction from railroad to Dierdorff Road

INDOT Transportation Projects

2014

  • U.S. 33 resurfacing from Elkhart River Bridge to Ferndale Road

2015

  • S.R. 15 resurfacing from Carter Road to Madison Street
  • S.R. 15 resurfacing from Pike Street north to U.S. 20

2016-2018

  • U.S. 33 Resurfacing from C.R. 40 to Monroe Street
  • U.S. 33 northern connector
  • U.S. 33 reconstruction from Elkhart River Bridge to Third Street
  • Intersection improvement at U.S. 33 and College Avenue
