Center for Hospice Care to offer grief loss forum

MISHAWAKA – Center for Hospice Care will offer a grief loss forum geared towards those who have lost a loved one. 

Forum speakers will address challenges, share practical strategies and answer audience questions. Forums will take place at Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place. Forums are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. To register call 1-800-HOSPICE (467-7423).

Forum dates and topics are:

  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, “Manifestations of Grief and Changing Family Relationships.” Presenters will be Debra Shively, LCSW, and Michele Guldberg, LCSW, bereavement counselors at Center for Hospice Care.
  • 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 21, “Transforming Loss Documentary.” Guest speaker Gary Weinstein, who appears in the film, will present and allow time for audience questions.
  • 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18, “Learning from Other Bereaved Persons.” A panel of bereaved persons will share experiences with loss.
