Free Alzheimer's disease education series set for August

The series of four programs is free and open to the public. Find out when you can attend the different events here.

ELKHART — Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, a program of REAL Services, will offer a free educations series of four programs focusing on Alzheimer’s disease.

Programs will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Beardsley House, 27833 C.R. 24. They are free and open to the public. 

Topics will be:

  • Aug. 4 - Understanding How Dementia Affects the Brain and How Habilitation Therapy Can Help
  • Aug. 11 - Understanding Communication and Behavior Changes Caused by the Disease
  • Aug. 18 - Creating a Therapeutic Environment
  • Aug. 25 - Handling Difficult Transitions
