Dinner will raise funds to help uninsured in Elkhart, Goshen

A local nonprofit hopes to raise funds for Goshen residents who don't have health care insurance. 

The Center for Healing and Hope will host a "Fiesta Feast" from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the College Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall in Goshen. 

The menu is Puerto Rican rice and beans, pulled pork and chicken, bread, salad and dessert. Ticket holders can eat in or carry out. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and they are available at or at 574-534-4744, ext. 201.

Event organizers said in a press release that the proceeds from the event will provide medical care and advocacy for uninsured and under-insured people in Goshen and Elkhart.
