ELKHART — Two local health care clinics are hosting an educational session for the public on the Affordable Care Act marketplace.

The event is set for Monday, Feb. 24, and goes from 3 to 7 p.m. It will be at Harrison College, 56075 Parkway Ave., off C.R. 17 and Middlebury Street in Elkhart.

Participants will be able to get more information on the marketplace, where health insurance may be purchased per provisions of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Sponsors of the session are Heart City Health Center of Elkhart, Maple City Health Care Center of Goshen and Community Action of Northeast Indiana, or CANI.

Representatives from marketplace carriers will be on hand to answer questions. Organizers advise those attending to bring identification, federal W-2 forms and recent pay stubs.

Insurance available on the marketplace is geared to those who don't get coverage through their employers, among others.
