Michiana Central High School Bowling Conference teams visit Signature Lanes

Week 2 of Michiana Central High School Bowling Conference saw exciting action in the boys and girls divisions.

Week 2 of Michiana Central High School Bowling Conference play saw Elkhart Memorial, Concord, Jimtown, Elkhart Central and Northridge pick up convincing wins in boys competition. Memorial, Concord, Jimtown, and Northridge each turned in easy victories for the girls.

Top individual sets among the boys were Wawasee's Andrew Wright 256-198 (454) and Jimtown's Joey Juday with 211-203 (414) and Carl Prince 237-172 (409). Pacing the girls were the Northridge trio Kelly Soard 212-145 (357), Lindsay Meade 187-157 (344) and Kyla Meade 165-179 (344). Concord's Haley Garcia rolled 170-179 (349).

Boys recap 

Memorial stayed perfect topping Goshen 17.5 - 2.5. Danden Solomon's 171-190 (361) led Memorial to the win. Chase Sulok added a 231 in Game 1. Brad Chupp's 171-187 (358) was tops for Goshen.

Concord defeated NorthWood 19-1 with Marquied Emmons 224-171 (395) leading the way. Christian Zentz 147-156 (303) had the top series for NorthWood.

Jimtown went to 2-0 defeating Wawasee 17-3 led by Juday and Prince. Andrew Wright's 454 series was top for the meet leading Wawasee.

Central topped NorthWood as the blind draw 20-0. Walter Griffin III was steady with 195-199 (394) leading Central's effort.

Northridge bested Fairfield 20-0. Michael Schlabach 220-185 (405) along with Josh Garfien's 209-181 (390) were the top efforts for Northridge. Matt Taylor led Fairfield with 154-164 (318).

Girls recap

Memorial played 8 players while topping Goshen 18-2. Megan Best had 180-150 9330) pacing Memorial while Rachel Horning 120-166 (286) was top for Goshen.

Concord overwhelmed NorthWood 20-0 with Haley Garcia's 170-179 (349) leading the way. Garcia is the early average leader for the girls at 179.75. Makayla Haupti topped NorthWood with a 247 series.

Jimtown shut out a short Wawasee squad 20-0. Brianna Ferro again paced Jimtown with her 178-163 (341) set. Jennica Adams added a 337 series for the Lady Jimmies.

Memorial as the blind draw team defeated central 15-5. Lizzy Glaser was again tops for Central with 184-151 (335).

Northridge added the third shut out of the night on the girls side topping Fairfield 20-0 led by Kelly Soard and the Meade sisters, Lindsay and Kyla. Kassi Rosenberry paced Fairfield with her 253 series.

Week three competition is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Wawasee Bowl in Syracuse, Ind. Teams at the top of the early standings square off in week three with Jimtown versus Memorial, a critical early season match for the girls and boys.
