Want to enjoy regional art, food and music while supporting the upkeep of Elkhart’s own botanic gardens?

The sixth annual Taste of the Gardens will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Wellfield Botanic Gardens at 1011 N. Main St. in Elkhart.

The event celebrates Wellfield, which has several new garden installations and a permanent sculpture, as well as food, music and art from northern Indiana and beyond. The Elkhart Rotary Club organizes the event to support the maintenance and growth of the gardens.

This year’s event features a number of local restaurants and caterers, including Antonio’s Italian Ristorante, Chubby Trout and Iechyd Da Brewing Company.

Forty-five artists from Indiana, Michigan and Ohio will also participate in a juried art show, displaying original jewelry, ceramics, sculptures, paintings and more.

There will also be live musical performances beginning with The Tumbleweed Jumpers at 11:15 a.m., Paul Decker & the Real Deal at 1 p.m., The Whistle Pigs at 2:45 p.m. and Blue Road Band at 4:30 p.m.

The event will be held rain or shine.
