Elkhart police and neighoborhood association hosts Night Out Against Crime Tuesday at Weston Park

The event features K-9 demonstrations, fire safety lessons and police and fire department vehicles.

The Elkhart Police Department and the North Riverside Neighborhood Association will host a Night Out Against Crime event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at Weston Park at 515 N. Michigan Street.

“Take a stand against crime in our neighborhoods!” reads a press release from the North Riverside Neighborhood Association. “Join us as we come together as a community for an evening devoted to fun, pride in City, and valuable information about crime control and awareness.”

The event features music, K-9 demonstrations, fire safety lessons and police and fire department vehicles. There will also be free food and giveaways, which include pencils and water bottles.

A number of neighborhood associations and organizations will also be present at the event, such as Saving Grace Advocacy.
