Mishawaka native Adam Driver receives nomination for Emmy

Driver, an actor on the HBO comedy Girls, has been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Mishawaka native and actor Adam Driver has been nominated for an Emmy for his role on HBO comedy Girls, ABC News reported.

Driver plays Adam Sackler, Lena Dunham’s love interest on the show. He’s in the running for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. This is his second time being nominated for the award, according to the Emmys’ website.

The 30-year-old actor attended Mishawaka High School, the South Bend Tribune reported. Driver was involved in the drama department there and acted in productions like Arsenic and Old Lace, Into the Woods, and Guys and Dolls, the Tribune reported.

On April 29, Disney announced Driver would star in the upcoming Star Wars sequels alongside actors like Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill.
