For the first time in 28 years, the World Pulse Festival won’t be at the LeSEA Broadcasting Grounds in South Bend.
This year, the contemporary Christian music fest will be at the Compton Family Ice Arena at the University of Notre Dame on Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12.
According to the festival website, changing state regulations made it increasingly difficult to build an approved venue at the LeSEA Broadcasting Grounds on Ironwood Road.
Thanks to the venue change, festival guests will now have access to indoor restrooms, seating and concessions.
In previous years, festival-goers brought their own lawn chairs and blankets and used portable toilets at the outdoor event.
The new location also has allowed organizers to extend the festival into a two-day affair.
Featured artists this year include Chris Tomlin, Sanctus Real, Mandisa, Skillet, Building 429, Colton Dixon, Ellie Holcomb and 1 Girl Nation.
The festival begins at 6 p.m. Friday and at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is free but tickets are required for all attendees, including children. Tickets can be picked up at a variety of locations around Michiana.
