Independence Day would not be what it is today without fireworks displays. There are many different places throughout Michiana to see great fireworks throughout the weekend, along with parades and other community events.

- Friday: Independence Day in Elkhart County will be sunny with a high of 75 and calm 5 mph northwest wind in the morning. Friday night will be mostly clear with a low of 55, as reported by the National Weather Service.
- Saturday: The weather will be sunny, with a high near 78 and southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. The low at night will be around 61 degrees.
- Sunday: The last day of the holiday weekend will be the warmest with partly sunny skies and a high near 81. Temperatures will drop around 68 degrees with a 40 percent chance of rain.
